Dr. Mahoney Mahoney was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University before graduating from Midwestern University-Arizona College of Dental Medicine in 2016. During dental school, he developed a passion for implantology, completing weekend courses and gaining experience placing implants using a variety of systems.

Dr. Mahoney has continued to advance his clinical skills through extensive continuing education in implant dentistry. He is a key opinion leader and educator for DIO implants, USA, and lectures to other dentists on implant placement techniques. He also serves as an instructor and clinical provider at the Whitecap Institute.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mahoney enjoys spending time with his wife and three young daughters. He also enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.

"I am so thankful for an awesome team at Copperfield. Long story short, if it werent for them being one of the few offices to give me a call after leaving several voicemails across the valley one night, I wouldnt have taken care of my oral issues. From an emergency wisdom tooth extraction to deep root cleaning, fillings and a crown, they have taken care of everything I procrastinated to do in about a months time. Amazing! The staff is so friendly and doesnt let you leave embaressed (which was always my dentistry fear). They helped me stay accountable to getting my fixings done by making a game plan on day 1.
